Israeli government votes to dismiss attorney general, escalating standoff with judiciary

JERUSALEM — The Israeli Cabinet on Monday voted unanimously to fire the attorney general, escalating a long-running standoff between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the judiciary.
