The US is preparing a colossal allocation for defense: over 900 billion dollars, money that will be spent on the development of hypersonic weapons, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, directed energy, military autonomy, the construction of ships, aircraft and ammunition, the consolidation of the nuclear triad, strengthening the US position in the Indo-Pacific, the revitalization of the defense industry and the expansion of military support for Ukraine and Israel, according to the National Defense Authorization Act 2026 bill, published by the US Congress, with two weeks left until the end of the session.
